Charles and the Capitalist Candy Company...

...or something :P

I saw the movie tonight with my family and . I enjoyed it! Some comments:

It was a bit different from the other movie, and the book, I think... I'm pretty sure I read the book, but I don't actually remember. I think Veruca Salts was a "bad egg" in the other movie. I did like the squirrels. Also, in the other movie, I'm pretty sure Wonka was never caught off guard, and I think he lacked emotional turmoil... but it did add something to this new one.
Recently I thought about Wallace and Gromit, and about Roall Dahl (sp?) (Anyone remember who wrote Sideways Stories from Wayside School?), and there was a trailer for Wallace and Gromit movie, and Roal Daahl wrote CC&tCF... interesting.
Oh yeah, and in the credits there were a lot of Neals/Neils, Nigels, and a Lolly Batty. But it was a good movie. I kinda like the soundtrack :D

Edit: I forgot to mention how my animal-sympathy veganism influenced my perception of the movie :P It was rather disturbing to consider how many cows were tortured in the making of all that chocolate XD A chocolate palace o.O and river o.O and mountain! Scary.
I also think this movie was a lot more disturbing than the other. People were nicer in the older ones. More compassionate.

That's one of the only things that bugged me about the movie... I thought his character was better when it was very matter-of-fact and nonchalant. It was okay, though. I was surprised that I didn't really like Depp's role. o.O

Also: The squirrels were AMAZING. And so cute. I want one!

Yeah, I was a bit bothered by the new WW... but oh well. It was different. I was expecting Depp to be disturbing in an intentional, eccentric way, maybe, so it surprised me when he was sort of insane...

You better not :O You'll die!

I think it was the American accent that really threw me... and what if I'm secretly a squirrel whisperer? I could be.

I didn't notice anything strange about the accent... There were too many weird accents in that movie for me to tell what made sense.

I think you'd have to keep it a secret from yourself if that were the case.
